Your First Dental Appointment 

We want you to have a good experience as soon as you step into the practice. Your first dental visit may take a little longer than you are used to, to enable the team and the dentist to get to know you and tailor treatment to your needs. Expect to spend around 30 minutes with us for your first visit.

To arrange your first appointment simply call us on 01207 232738 or contact us and we will arrange a convenient appointment time for you. She will also confirm your name, address and contact details so that we can register you as a patient prior to your first visit.

Children are always welcome at Stoney Field Dental Practice

Our team take great pleasure and want to ensure that the younger generation have a healthy, happy smile and free of fillings. We want to ensure that your child has the opportunity to visit us from an early age so they feel comfortable coming to the practice and their teeth remain healthy while they grow up.

From a very early age we can show children how to keep their teeth and gums healthy and how to maintain that. At Stoney Field we show the children how to clean their teeth properly and about the importance of regular cleaning. As a matter of routine, preventative advice is given to children and their parents each time they visit the practice.

We recommend that you introduce your children to the dentist at an early age, ideally from around 6 months and have regular appointments to maintain their oral health. We encourage families to visit the practice and familiarise their children with the environment and the team.

For children we undertake the following:

  • NHS Dental Examinations for those under 18 years

  • Oral Hygiene monitoring.

  • Assessment of the dental arches for correct growth.

  • Preventative treatments with the use of sealants, eliminating the need for drilling or filling.

  • Orthodontic assessments for identification of crowding and spacing issues.

  • NHS Orthodontic referrals.

  • Private teeth straightening for those who don’t qualify for treatment on the NHS.
